 CANDLE CARE GUIDE

Before lighting:
  • Before you burn your candle, always make sure your wick is trimmed around 0,5 cm. Trim the wick between each burn or every 2 hours if the flame gets too small or too big.
  • As we don't use any pre-made paraffin wicks, (only unbleached braided cotton wicks) it may take up to 5 seconds for the wick to light up when you light it for the first time.
While burning:
  • Some of our candles have irregular shapes, this can cause them to leak wax when you burn them. Always make sure you place your candle on an even and heat resistant surface,  like a candle tray.
  • Avoid drafts, vents, or air currents. This will help prevent rapid or uneven burning, soothing, and excessive dripping.
  • Especially for bigger candles, burn your candle at least for 3 hours on the first burn to prevent tunneling.
  • Never burn a candle for more than 4 hours.
  • Never touch or move a burning candle. Never move a candle container when the wax is liquified.
  • Don’t burn a candle all the way down. For safety measures, stop burning a candle when there is 0,5 cm  of wax left.
  • If burning multiple candles, place each candle at least 5cm apart from eachother. This is to ensure they don't speed up the melting process.
Our candles have been tested thoroughly from wick size to burn time. If you experience any problems with our candles, please let us know!
